Trick Tip: How To Ollie

Study this picture carefully to learn how to Olle Step by Step Ollie breakdown 1. If you are just leaning, it is probably best to learn to ollie standing still, or somewhere soft, like indoors on carpet, or in grass. This way, you can concentrate on the technique instead of worrying about falling. 2. Place your front foot near the middle of your skateboard, a few inches under your front bolts, and situate your back foot on the tail. 3. So keep in mind that you are basically jumping up in the air, so bend your knees and squat just as if you were just going to jump straight up in the air. 4. Pop the tail with your back foot, and at the same time jump up while sliding your front foot upward toward the front bolts. If done properly, the front of the board should go up first, flowing with you as you jump. 5. For additional height, tuck your knees while in the air, kind of crouching. 6. Trick Tip: Kickflip

1) You can start out doing this trick standing still (not rolling) until you get the hang of it. 2) You will need to position your back foot on the tail (Just like a regular ollie) and your front foot just below the bolts of your front truck. Your front foot should be angled just a little (toe pointing toward the front of the board). 3) Bend your knees. It's all about getting a low center of gravity. 4) Pop the tail just like a regular ollie, but as you slide your front foot forward and start to bring the board into the air, fling your front foot off the board at an angle, making it flip. 5) Once you have initiated the flip, crouch your legs again, wait for the full flip, and catch the board, making sure to land with your feet over the bolts. 6) Land and roll away.
